Amanico, a respected voice in the WatchProSite community, presents a compelling dilemma for collectors: choosing between the steel and rose gold versions of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Timer. His initial preference for white metal, tempered by the undeniable allure of rose gold, sets the stage for a nuanced discussion on aesthetics, wearability, and the subtle design elements that distinguish these two exceptional timepieces.

How do you like it?

My natural preference for white metal would make me go for the Steel, here, but I cannot deny the strong appeal of the rose gold.

So, steel for me, but with a small margin.

You?

Just kidding. But seriously, yellow gold will be more classic for memovox. Between rose and steel, i would choose steel still simply because i am not fond of rose gold.

It seemed to have a bit more character and presence. However after I came to see them both at the manufacture the steel stood out much more on the wrist, and the rose gold a bit too shinny for my taste. The carved memo indices are just phenomenal live and a bit dull on pictures when it comes to the steel version. What an amazing feature in function and design as well as execution. Well done JLC on both models. Vote goes to steel here

But if I am forced to choose between the flamboyant rose or the more reserved/conservative look of the white? I am sure you can guess. 😉
