Here is my photo tribute to my favorite Memovox of all times.

in the midst of the funky 70's came a sober, sophisticated model, called E 876. Perfect proportional case, classic understated bracelet and a two-toned killer blue dial.

Without any specific order, here is a photoshoot attempting to capture this beauty under different lighting. No cropping or PS, here are the RAW images.

About the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Ref. MemovoxE876

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E 876 represents a significant evolution within the Memovox line, marking the transition from bumper automatic movements to full rotor automatic winding. Introduced in the 1970s, this reference offered a more modern approach to the alarm complication, aligning with contemporary watchmaking advancements while retaining the core functionality that defined the Memovox.

This reference typically features a 37mm case, often in stainless steel, housing the automatic Caliber 916. The movement incorporates a full rotor for winding and powers the timekeeping and alarm functions, controlled by two distinct crowns. Dials are frequently characterized by a two-tone finish, often with a contrasting inner rotating alarm disc, enhancing legibility and visual appeal.

For collectors, the Memovox E 876 is notable for its Caliber 916, which was Jaeger-LeCoultre's first automatic alarm movement with a full rotor. Its production era places it firmly in the 1970s, making it a key reference for understanding the brand's development during that decade and its continuous innovation in alarm watch technology.

Welcome back to the Vintage JLC world, my friend.

That is great news to count you in this Club. Knowing your taste and your relations, I am sure that your next weeks and months will be as shiny as a Red Sea Sun. Congratulations on the E 876. This one is in superb condition. One I still have to find for my collection, though. All the best, my Dear Bijo. Nicolas
