amanico presents a striking image of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Minute Repeater in titanium, prompting a discussion on its enduring design. He challenges the community to describe how a watch unveiled in 2006 can still appear incredibly modern today, despite its age.

Here is a picture I borrowed to Christies.

There are two things which jump to the eyes. The case, which is getting really old. And the dial which is incredibly modern. Let's remind that this watch has been unveiled in 2006... So, 13 years, now.

Incredible, original, mad, crazy... If you have other words, please feel free to add them!

Best,

Nicolas

This is “perfect” timing for you to post this! I just missed out on this piece in an auction yesterday by 4K CHF. As usual, when you wake up in the morning and you see the auction results and you missed out by such a small amount you ask yourself “should I have bid higher?”. Oh well, I’ll know better for next time. Thanks for the immediate reminder of my failure, LOL! NickO

You make a strong point my friend - Agree that the design and the watch is ahead of its time.

that JLC would have extended the 15-day power reserve into other models. -Dean

I would not say the same for the series earlier (all these Greek named models), but the master series is really nice. The rest of the watch is extremely contemporary as you say. Will it ever be considered old? Hard to know. Best, É.

.... And is still utterly relevant today. Thanks for sharing!
