Nilomis shares his acquisition of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hometime Aston Martin (Ref. 174.8.05.S), detailing his journey to choosing this GMT watch. His personal photos and reflections offer a collector's perspective on its wearability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal, particularly for those prioritizing travel-friendly complications.

Team,

End of mystery.

I got the "JLC Master Hometime Aston Martin" (174.8.05.S).

I made many attempts using around a similar budget but I'm a GMT (multiple time zone) watches.

I was tempted to wait for the Geophysic (another one that I love) but the Hometime is more useful for me.

Size is perfect to my wrist and is at the same time a watch that I can wear with jeans (99.99%) or a suit (0.0001%).

Here we go, sorry for the quick shots.

1) Discrete and elegant (GMT hand is hidden)

2) Sportive

3) Not too small and not big. Perfect size.

4) Love the GMT hand (that can be hidden under the hour hand when not needed)

5) "Grand Maison" movement. Not fancy but, IMHO, well done.

A true "go anywhere" watch. Great for travel.

The "watch year" is almost done to me (there is another, from Omega of course, in route) and I feel that I need to enjoy what I have.

Thanks for seeing,

Nilo

From memory, there were only three watches which were issued from the collaboration between JLC and Aston AND which were not Amvoxes: This one, a black Chronograph, and the infamous Reverso. At least, on this dial, the AM badging is discrete, which is a good thing. And I must say that the black dial has a certain appeal. Congrats, Nilo. Best, Nicolas

...are very nice already. So two new watches in a row and yet very, very different in terms of personality and aesthetics. Doubly cool. Ruckdee

but could never get past the Navy strap on a black dial. I would always switch it to black (for my taste). Enjoy! -Dean

I got from the Boutique a black strap, that is the one for this watch. I go to change as soon I have some time (no scratches on this baby, yet). Cheers, Nilo

Nice! That case is gorgeous--perfectly proportioned, and I love the alternating brushed and polished surfaces. Enjoy, John
