KMII's original post reignites a perennial discussion among Jaeger-LeCoultre enthusiasts: the potential for a modern sports watch that honors the brand's innovative past while addressing contemporary desires for wearability and functionality. His wishlist for a new JLC sports timepiece, featuring compressor crowns and novel complications, serves as a compelling starting point for imagining the future of the brand's iconic design language. This exploration delves into how JLC could evolve its Master Compressor legacy for a new generation of collectors.

And here’s a wishlist for JLC:
- A new sports watch with compressor crowns
- Thinner and more wearable on a larger range of wrists than the MCM
- Quickset date
- One novel thing not seen before.

Who else would like something such?

Was more of a minimal viable product or playing it very safe. Would be nice to have something more cutting edge again 🤞🏻

It’s a level for which nowadays a screw down crown is unnecessary but often used due to laziness. At least the compressor crowns didn’t require the fiddliness of having to unscrew the crowns for winding or adjustment. One could add a significantly higher level of WR but then hardly anyone would actually benefit from that 🤷🏻‍♂️

Or it works the old way of going from 10-2 and back 😉 So it was a wish list for a new watch, not the specs of this one 😁
