Amanico's post offers a compelling visual comparison between a modern Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Chronograph Sector Dial and a vintage JLC Pocket Watch Chronograph Rattrapante. This juxtaposition highlights how historical design elements continue to inspire contemporary watchmaking, particularly in the aesthetic choices of sector dials and chronograph layouts. The discussion explores the community's appreciation for both pieces, emphasizing the unique appeal of vintage complications and the design merits of the modern Master Chronograph.

The kind of Jaeger Lecoultre I like a lot, a cool looking modern chronograph which has a link with the past:

Here the link is obvious, on the aesthetics. The 6 / 12, the sector dial, the blue tachymeter.

If only the Master Chronograph could be manual winding AND Rattrapante!

Best,

Nicolas

Oh yes. I was lucky to take several pictures of that one. An unforgettable moment, at the Heritage Gallery.

I am definitely with you on that pocket watch…

You know my love for these very seductive grannies 😉 Of course the Master Chronograph is not shabby at all but we are in another league…
