Nicolas (amanico) revisits the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master 8 Days, a significant reference that marked a new era for the brand's long power reserve movements. His original post highlights the watch's initial release and its limited editions, providing a crucial historical perspective for collectors interested in JLC's horological innovations from the early 2000s. This piece offers valuable context on how JLC integrated its impressive 8-day power reserve into its Master collection.

Unveiled in 2003, it was the first round JLC watch to house the 8 Days movement, with the Master 8 Days Perpetual.

In platinum, so called Antoine Lecoultre, limited to 200 pieces:

There was also a very nice steel version, limited to 50 pieces with a black dial:

Of course, we don't have to forget that the first modern 8 Days JLC movement was housed in the Reverso Septantième, 2 yeas before.

Best,

Nicolas

Yes, the steel black is awesome. The platinum is on another planet, in terms of price. But it has a nice soleillé movement with A. Lecoultre's signature. [nt]

Lovely watch - would have been even slicker with markers instead of the four numerals. Quite a few of the standard steel version available online. Worthy of consideration. [nt]
