I loose any notion of time when I gaze at the Gyrotourbillon One, issued in 2004. Definitely in my top five modern JLC. Even in the Top 3. 















Will we have a more desirable than that one, one day? 

For me, it is a milestone, indeed.

Academically

There’s evidence the Gyrotourbillon can perform admirably as both a watch and a work of art, based on the first modern Chronometrie competition. It lost out by a point to the simpler Master Tourbillon. If you do not consider the ease of adjustment and the evidence that the quality of the adjustment and luck play outsized roles in measurable performance, then you can say the Gyrotourbillon offers a performance advantage. Thank you for your very nice and detailed reply....

I was hoping that JLC released data on the accuracy of the Gyrotourbillon per day +1 vs conventional escapement so we can compare. About adjustments and variances we have the 6 Positions of testing.

A good Cal 898 ( in the Geophysic ) well adjusted is accurate to 0 to 2 secs per day, from memory...

thats impressive, do you think the Gyrotourbillon is more accurate? Grand Seiko's VFA even after 50 years was giving a +-1 second a day result
