I ordered the new Limited Edition Geophysic True Second blue dial about 10 days ago and (surprise!) it arrived from the Manufacture today.

This is the second internet limited edition from Richemont this year.  The first was the Panerai Pam731 with a blue dial earlier this year -- I bought that piece also.

I continue to have a great relationship with several of the boutiques and can't imagine breaking away from the attention and service but I think embracing the new channels is inevitable.  I can say the staff over the phone was extremely professional as well but there is something really nice about the tactile experience in the Boutique.

Details:

-  Houses the automatic Calibre 770 with dead beat seconds, 36 jewels, 28800 bph featuring a Gyrolab balance
-  39.6mm diameter and 11.8mm thick
-  Stainless Steel
-  100 piece limited edition

Looking forward to some wrist time.

Congratulations, enjoy!

This is the most desirable version of that model, and I think it's what the True Second should have been from the beginning (i.e., more invention, less tribute). While blue is very popular at the moment, I don't think that it will lose its appeal with time. My Grande Memovox from 2001 has a metallic blue dial, and it's just as handsome today as it was back them. Wear your new Geophysic in great health! Best, Tim

Congrats Dave

I always loved the original True Seconds with the silver grainy dial but I always found that watch to be a bit too classic / dress watch for my needs. This one looks a bit more casual, is that true in the flesh? Enjoy

I own both and indeed this blue version is much more vibrant. The date in white is a slight distraction but overall I like the piece. [nt]
