Nicolas (amanico) shares his appreciation for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic True Second Blue, highlighting its distinctive dial and the intriguing Caliber 770 movement. His post delves into specific design elements, prompting a community discussion on the watch's aesthetic choices and technical merits. This article explores why this particular reference continues to resonate with collectors.

Two pictures of a watch I find very cool.

A great dial, very cool, in blue, a thinner crosshairs would have been better... And no date, OR a date but with another name.

Other than that, this movement, Cal 770, is, for an automatic, very interesting and quite appealing.

Best,

Nicolas

Think JLC really own the true second complication. See what you mean about another name!

Def without date unless date wheel matches the dial, maybe. Keep “one” JLC logo. Maybe the applied. Wording? Maybe none, a WIS/connoisseur would know a true second when they see one.
