Now, I only miss the COSC certificate, and the original invoice to have the full set,  wink
 
Collecting may, sometimes, provide you some great and not very expensive satisfactions...

That certainly qualifies as a major find, Nico! And congratulations. I hate to admit this, but I've never understood the attraction of the Geomatic from a style point of view. I understand that from a technical point of view --- its anti-magnetic properties, for example --- the movement was an exemplar for its time. But the design of the watch is bland and nondescript to my eyes. And, dare I say it? --- boring. What am I missing that so attracts the cognoscenti? The other recent JLC Tributes, li

And for its chronometric virtues. It is much more elegant than a Geophysic, from my point of view. The case is top, the sunburst domed dial is a pleasure for the mind. Not as eye catching as a Polaris, DSA or Reverso, much more Under the radar. Which explains why I love it so much. Thanks for your feedback, my dear Ano Nuevo. Nicolas

for your lucid and specific response. (It's always a pleasure to read your notes about WHY a particular watch is worthwhile.) You mentioned that the entire dial is domed - now that's something I hadn't noticed in the photos of the watch. Though I've never seen an example in real life, I suspect there are many other stylistic attributes that one sees only when viewing the actual watch and not a photo. As for the watch being under-the-radar, well, that's certainly true! it didn't even cause my rad
