A question for the resident experts. I found this geomatic, but I am concerned about the originality since there is no lume on the dial ( unlike many examples shown here ). Also the crown has no logo. I did a search and found two more watches with the same dial and crown, but compared to the lume dial with a signed crown, they are too few, thus making me question the authenticity.

Imo, it is all okay, I think it is late 50's

but could be early 60's. There are a few versions, some of the early one did not have any lume and the crown did not bear any marking. To me it is a great and fine find. Let's read what our Amanico will say.

Hi, my friend. First of all, the crown should bear the JL Logo. Then, it is the first time I see such a dial. And the Dauphine hands on a Geomatic. [nt]

Judging by your analysis, I say at best frankenwatch

And at worst fake. You said the dial is “unseen,” the hands are not right, and the logo should be one the crown. You did not say anything about the case back so I guess that maybe okay. Maybe I am leaning towards fake. We also have not seen the movement.

Not too fast... The maker can tell

IMO, That piece needs to be authenticated Chronomètre GEOMATIC. Ref E399 Some time it is obvious, but here as it is I would not jump to a fast conclusion. You are right in saying we have to see the movement too I hope we will soon know
