Nicolas (amanico) shares his enduring admiration for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Unique Travel Time, a timepiece that has remained at the top of his wish list since his initial encounter with it during a 2013 trip to the US. His personal reflection highlights the watch's sophisticated travel time complication, emphasizing its unique jumping minute and digital hour display for the second time zone. This post offers a collector's perspective on a highly regarded JLC reference.

Gorgeous watch, and so functional! A professional's traveler watch.
Still feels fresh and modern 7 - 8 years later, not to mention the original Duometre models that are still doing JLC proud, almost 15 years since their introduction.
I think they could modernize the bevel on the lugs to decrease their visual weight and call it a day. Maybe add some horizontal brushing or sandblasting to the sides of the case, to make the watch a bit more versatile and give the owner some additional haptic pleasure. It would be more difficult to improve on the dials, I won't try. Adding a stylish bevel to the lugs can make a huge difference, as seen with the updated Master Control line.
