Here is the third opus of the Hybris Artistica Duometre à Spherotourbillon, a Watch which, obviously, inpsired the JLC Designers a lot!

After the Pocket Watch and the Enamel, here is the " Sapphire Crystal " version.

Funnily, this is not the first detail you notice when you look at the Watch.

The white gold, hand engraved dial is certainly the first part which  jumps to your eyes, as well as the enamel grand feu dial and subdials. The same than on the Pocket watch, by the way.

As well as these stairs on each side of the spherotourbillon.

Take the Watch in your hands, and have a look at the side of the case. You will see the ( Crystal ) light.

While the case band is in white gold, the upper and the lower part are made of Crystal!

You will also focus on the lugs, which receive a particular finish, too.

A last detail... The Transparent Tourbillon Bridge, also made in sapphire.

Here are the real pictures:

The case is 42 mm big, of course. This version is a limited edition of three pieces.

Best,

Nicolas

Interesting mods

I find from th pictures the work on the lugs and the stair effect in the tourby area mesmerizing. The overall dial effect is also wonderful. I do miss the date layout from the original, but realize that would not work with this edition. A beautiful iteration. But I would still want the original platinum. I would love to see this version in person to compare. Thanks Joe

That would be hard to see it in the flesh... And to compare it with the platinum.

But wait, my friend, there is another version which is Worth some consideration. Soon to be posted. Best, Nicolas.

This is VERY nice Nicolas, even more so........

as it is Excellence in design, from my point of view. Here is a watch with an extremely complicated and delicate Spherotourbillon but the designers kept the entire piece extremely simple. The layout of the dial is superb in its simplicity, the "martele" and the enamel sub-dials give it a feel of serenity and I love the steps leading to the Spherotourbillon, the details on the lugs, very chic. All in all, a visually very elegant yet simple piece of Haute Horlogerie. With a diameter of 42mm is ver

Perfectly wearable then......

This one is making me think a lot! Although not a great fun of Tourbillon per se, (perhaps I just don't like competition) my head houses a Tourbillon which really defies gravity;) but this one has a "je ne sais quoi" which I really find appealing, enchanting. Cheers Francois from Down Under

I share your feeling. Not a big fan of tourbillons, either. ;) [nt]
