Unveiled in 2009, the Hybris Mechanica à Grande Sonnerie is already a milestone in the Grande Complication family.

It offers a minute repeater, a petite sonnerie, a grande sonnerie on 4 notes with the longest melody, a flying tourbillon, a perpetual calendar with retrograde days, date months, and an incremental setting of the hours. All those complications in one of the best sized case ( 44 mm big / 14, 67 mm high ) housing 1400 parts!

The Hybris Mechanica:

The Hybris Artistica hindes nothing from the beauty of the Cal 182. For that purpose, JLC opted for a rock Crystal dial, for the time.

Now, you can admire, dive into the captivating movement, dial AND back side.

The heated blue leaf shaped hands guve just the necessary contrast to admire the time passing.

The case is, like the Hybris Mechanica, in white gold.

The piece is unique, by all meanings!

Which Hybris do you prefer? The Artistica, or the Mechanica?

I've made my choice: The Artistica!

Best,

Nicolas.

A Marvel ! Aesthetically and technically speaking. The Artistica is my favorite. Why? Because you can admire the whole movement, nothing is hidden. A video would be the cherry on the cake :) Thanks a lot for sharing this beauty. Best regards Fabio

This is the piece I am less convinced of…a bit too confusing,I prefer the clear layout of the mechanica, the legibility of it. There is no need to show all the parts ,the mechanica shows enough for me. Plus ,please remove that text at the bottom….no good looking at all,but you know what I think about text…..only when functional, never to tell me the "title "of the watch, not on the dial anyway. Mo

I would guess Artistica. Ciao, my friend. Nicolas This message has been edited by amanico on 2014-03-26 02:58:47

As for the preference between these two, well, hard to tell. I think you cannot go wrong with any of them. Aaah, wait a minute, your banker is calling me. ;) Best, Nicolas.

But that is just me, as I always prefer a dial without hole. Best, Nicolas
