Amanico provides the first web-published images of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre à Chronographe in platinum, hailing it as a definitive timepiece. His detailed photo essay and initial impressions underscore JLC's homage to traditional craftsmanship, highlighting the watch's multi-layered dial, symmetrical design, and the innovative dual-wing movement architecture.

Yep, I think that this is the first time that pics of the Duo Metre in Platinum are published on the Web...

And I'm very happy to show you this great watch!

The first thing which jumps to the eyes is that Hommage that JLC whanted to give to the Fine Traditionnal craftmanship...

All the codes are here, the thin hands, the grained dial, the elegant blend of polished and brushed parts of the case, the applied numbers of the Hour and Minute Subdial...

Have a look at the dial, and its mutli levered conception, it looks like something living, moving, indeed...

The combination of silver, light grey, blue, this material effect is awesome!

Cold?

I don't think so...

Elegant, classy, classic, dressy, YES!

Another interesting detail is the way JLC designed the dial, in a very symmetrical way, for the sub counters, the hands of the power reserves ( separated Chrono and Hour !!! ), and the fact that the most important thing, in this watch, is to enhance the Chronograph à Foudroyante, With a Central Second Hand, just above " 6 " The Foudroyante hand and su dial , and with these 2 different Colors, as a chromatic codification: Silver for the Hour infos, Blue for the Chronos datas!

That is just great!

An Ode to the Fine Art of The History Horology, not only focusing on the dial, but also and first of all, as we speak of JLC, on the movement.

Here's the Masterpiece!

The Form, the Function...

Remember this ad about the JLC Duo Metre..." A Watch..2 Brains "...

This is EXACTLY That...

2 Brains, 2 Hearts, whatever you want, this watch is designed around the idea of 2 Barrels, one for the Chrono, the other for the Hour and Minutes, in a separate way, just like the dial...

JLC Reaches here an interesting and beautiful Homogeneity.

And in a such elegant way, and an obvious approach of the perfection:

Here again, as for the dial, the respect of the Tradition is here, with the usual codes, like the perlages, the anglages, the polissages, and these beautifukl heated blue screws.

An old looking watch created in a modern way...

This is, IMO, a great Alchimy!

And the Cherry on the Cake is to wear it...

Any commentary from me is " superflu"...LOL

As Soon as We get here some nice light, I will take some better pics of this True Master piece, but my pleasure and my happyness was so big that I couldn't wait to share it with all of you!

Best!

Many thanks for this comprehensive review Nicolas. I've had a Duometre for the first time in my (sweating) handing very recently. This is a magnificent watch. I love the graining of the dial, it is wonderful! Winding the watch is a little firm but very pleasant at the same time, and the pusher of the chronograph is really smooth. Thanks also for the comparison with the Dato from L&S. These are really interesting facts and 2 watches sitting very high on my wish list. Thanks for sharing, Seb

As you well said: a Ode to High Watchmaking, really a Masterpiece!!. On the front is impressive (an excellent and balanced finish, great work), but what really impresses me most is the finish of the movement, a work set aside for a few brands, for the High Brands. Good for JLC for being able to create these wonders and for you Nicolas to be one of the lucky ones who know what they have. Enjoy it in the best of health. Best, my " connaisseur" friend. Emilio.

The watch itself is extremely beautiful. But the movement is a killer. It is the most well proportioned and well thought movement I've seen in a chronograph. Definitive watch for the the definitive enthusiast of horology, that is you... Thanks for the pictures and the report. It worths staying in tune with the JLC forum. Once again, wear it with hapiness and joy. Sincerely Ahmet
