Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph seen on the wrist of Robert Downey Jr.
In promoting his new “Iron Man 3” movie releasing this spring, Actor Robert Downey Jr. playing the leading role was seen wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch today at a press conference held in Germany.
Inspired by the 1959 Memovox Deep Sea model, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph comes with a traditional chronograph movement.
The resolutely traditional design perpetuates the legend of Jaeger-LeCoultre.
To underscore its belonging to the vintage collection, it is equipped with a two-counter chronograph movement.
Its hands and hour-markers are coated with Superluminova® in a colour similar to that of the original model.
The back of the stainless steel case also bears the same engraved motif as the historical model, depicting a frogman surrounded by bubbles.
Finally, the embossed black calfskin leather strap looks exactly like the one fitted on the original.
