Amanico addresses a common dilemma for collectors of vintage dive watches: how to enjoy them without fear of water damage. He proposes a practical solution by showcasing the benefits of owning both the vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm and its modern Tribute counterpart, allowing for worry-free enjoyment in various settings.

To be more precise, the issue is that with the original Deep Sea Alarm, you can't swim, likeother Vintage watch.

And as for the Tribute, you can have some water activities, but it cannot compete ( does it have to, by the way? ) in terms of soul, as it didn't have the weighof the time passing, being a new watch.

So how can we solve this dilemma?

The answer is very simple: Getting both is THE solution.

you can always enjoy the Vintage when you don't have to swim, and you can bring the Tribute when you plan some water activities.

The demonstration by the pictures:

The Vintage:

In all its beauty, here:

The Tribute, just after a good swim:

Drying under the strong Croatian Sun:

And resting after all these efforts on some pebbles:

We often smile when we read that the best is to get both, when trying to decide between one or another watch, but in this case, it is so true!

No more fear nor frustration, just pleasure!

Best,

Nicolas

...back in the days my challenge was which one to wear, the European or the US DSA. Fund a perfect solution: sold both! Haha. Cheers - Ilja

No wonder why they are so captivating, they are. For different reasons: The Two Vintage have a lot of soul. The Tribute is fearless. Thanks for your input, Respo. Best, Nicolas
