The first time I could see a watch containing JLC's incredible 101 caliber. I tried to do it justice by photographing a contemporary Reverso next to it. One can only imagine how small the hairspring, screws, wheels, etc. must be.

A clever juxtaposition. The 101, as JLC's advertisement used to say, was worn by Elizabeth II at her coronation in 1953. [nt]

I know this movement, this is increditbel ! But it is bigger than the dial of this watch, its a rectanuglar caliber, backwinder!

I heard about, that a well known french brand, which used this caliber more decades, buy back this treasures, restor this watches, and sell them one more time. (They tell the buyer that is vintage!). 1953, i am sure this is not right. This type of watches, mostly Platin, are older. I think, about 1930is correct. You see the two pics and the difference of the old and the new one. But htis new one, second pic , also is not from 1953, this is younger. What they think when to use blue srews, i dont

I believe JLC made some Reversos with this movement, too...
