Make sure the surface it sits on is level. Use a bubble / spirit level to confirm in both directions, and adjust the feet of the clock if necessary. Assuming the clock is on a flat surface, it should start turning immediately. There is no winding up that I know of - I've had 4 Atmos clocks. Cazalea

and thank you for the unboxing pictures. It looks very well crafted with beautiful finishing. I love how clean and pure this design is. Beats the Newson pieces IMO.
