Amanico's exploration of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos clock transcends mere timekeeping, positioning these horological marvels as significant design objects. His curated selection highlights the diverse aesthetic evolution of the Atmos, from the avant-garde 'Colani' to the minimalist 'Newson 561' and the elegant 'Hermès' edition. This article delves into why these Atmos clocks, beyond their unique perpetual movements, continue to captivate collectors through their distinctive design narratives.

Great picks, Nico. I have been pondering which Atmos to go after and have had my eye out for years for the right one - these are really really cool picks.
The design of these models is so overwhelming that one tends to forget the unique mechanics of the clock it self. Using fractions of a degree of changes in ambient temperature suffices to keep the clock running. Virtual perpetual so to speak. And to hold all that technique, the design has been smart and nice: standard and relative standard bit classical designs mixed with contemporary ultra modern (at that time) designs. My personal favorite is the one where the clock is integrated in some kind
If memory serves me right they also had Chinese one with tin y doors that opened up to reveal the mechanics itself.
Uber cool. Atmos is something to have…I think between catalog vs previous models…we find too many to love
I really love these Atmos clocks a lot . Mine says hi
All three of these are amazing and funky the top one is my favorite! Thanks for sharing! -D-
