AuHavrePro initiates a fascinating discussion on the lume performance of the Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX2, a watch designed for the demanding environment of a 24-hour race. His initial post, featuring comparative shots from a Google Pixel 4, challenges the practical effectiveness of the AMVOX2's luminescence in real-world and photographic conditions. This exploration delves into whether a 'racing tool watch' truly lives up to its nocturnal demands.

I don’t blame you! All the best Jon
You, sir, are not mistaken in your 'assumption' .... Cheers, Filip
…as a result of your recent photos, and those of Nico and IWC, I am in the process of sourcing an Amvox 2 Racing. Mine is without the PVD and hopefully it will reach me in the next couple of weeks. Please don’t post any pictures of any other watches - I am easily influenced!
Chuffed to bits to hear that is the case . So, from your description it would appear to me that you are speaking of the 100 piece edition in plain titanium with the black and white dial?? Most ardent congratulations from me then , cheers to seeing you share pictures when you get it! Filip
the point of playing around in the dark was in fact to see how it looked to the eye, and then on camera. In person it isn't effective unless you have the watch half-a-meter from your face, and even on camera I had to turn on the enhanced nighttime processing in order to get a solid reading of the lume. Odd for a racing tool watch, no? Le Mans is, well, a 24 hour race LoL ........
done both, the tachymeter would have optimally printed in the same space they used for the minute minute markers. In racing conditions, the minutes would be calculated by the chrono regardless.... Cheers, Filip
