Nicolas (amanico) delves into the Jaeger-LeCoultre Amvox Transpondeur, a unique timepiece that doubles as a car key for the Aston Martin DBS. His post explores the watch's innovative case-activated chronograph and its distinctive connection to the automotive world, prompting a discussion on JLC's risk-taking designs.

The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.
The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.
This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.
Would definitely welcome a new JLC concept watch with new complication and pivoting be brutally honest, Im not a fan of the new Polaris case so would rather see it have its own identity.
I love the idea and hope JLC will bring back such creativity and magic again for us JLC fans.
Horological UFO. Nicely put . I love it of course and do think you need the car to go with it . That last advertising image I've never seen, it looks excellent!! Cheers, Filip
Lousy strategy unfortunately. Cheers, Filip
I do not have a DBS to go along with the watch but I do have a Rapide so does that count One thing I can say is that it makes you feel like 007 with a tool toy when you do have it on to match the car.
This watch typifies what they can do if you demolish whatever committees they have recently been subjugating themselves to. The ennui of current mainstream Swiss watchmaking together with their rather aspirational (irrational) pricing has unfortunately driven me to places I thought I wouldn’t go to..such as an Apple Watch.
