This is a picture I wanted to take for a long time: My Amvox One on its signed papers, signed by its designer, Magali Metrailler.

A signature, and a sketch of the compressor crown which was her first challenge. The text says: " My first challenge: Working on a new sports line around a patent filed by one of our engineer, the compressor key. "

And above the sketch: " An idea for a nice story ".

Magali also worked on the Master Memovox Compressor, and of course, among many other watches, the Tribute To Polaris.

Now you understand why I wanted to take this picture. Now you get the story behind the watch.

To avoid any confusion, the Amvox One doesn't have compressor keys, but it belongs to Jaeger Lecoultre and Magali Metrailler's common history.

What a nice watch, full of history.. & What a great sketch from Magali.. Splendid combo, this watch & its lively creator !

Obviously her avantgarde spirit & flexible mind influenced & designed a whole series of sports watches ! Still also love the compressor principle , eg in the MCM (crown), the TTP Polaris and also in the subsequent Amvox-2 ( I assume). A great period for JLC, she was a highlight then.. Thx for this great share, and glimpse into JLC\'s design books ! Cheers & Best, hs

Thanks, HS. A precision, no compressor crown on the Amvox II, but a pivoting case.

Which still is an unique detail! As for the TT Polaris, no compressor crowns as well. Yes, Magali brought some fresh air in the JLC collections, indeed. This Amvox One is a good example. How an iconic watch can be revisited, in an original way. Best, my dear friend. Nicolas

The last few recent design I know from her highness are BALL Watch BMW models and etc. Rather surprise she work with BALL watch. Not sure if she is still there.
