Nicolas (amanico) revisits the Jaeger-LeCoultre Amvox III Boutique Edition, a limited-production timepiece that continues to captivate collectors years after its release. His personal reflection on this rare reference highlights its distinctive design and enduring appeal, prompting a discussion on its place within JLC's innovative history. This article explores why the Amvox III, with its unique blend of sportiness and haute horlogerie, remains a coveted piece for enthusiasts.

44 mm titanium case, orange accents here and there, this is the sportier Amvox III made. And the rarest, with only 35 pieces.

When it was issued in 2009, it was a bargain ( circa 35 K euros, from memory ).

I was offered one in 2011 but I first wanted to have a Duometre à Chronograph back in my collection.

I think of it, from time to time, and maybe one day, who knows...

For once, the date ( jumping ) is nicely integrated, I love the concept of a sporty Tourbillon, even if I am pretty convinced it is useless, and it has a part of the Extreme Lab One, with its special rotor.

Yes, I would like to get one...

Best,

Nicolas

I suppose not having a Tourbillon would have meant better pricing but this version is certainly eye catching and a stunner. Marc

I wholeheartedly admire the innovation and tech built into this one-of-a-kind piece. This was when JLC was really pushing the boundaries!

The Paris boutique always gets the good stuff. Have they had any more exciting exclusive models recently? Thanks for the pictures. All the best, Jon
