Amanico's rediscovery of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Amvox II DBS in rose gold offers a fresh perspective on a limited-edition timepiece from 2007. This article delves into the aesthetic nuances and collector appeal of both the rose gold and titanium versions, inviting readers to appreciate the distinct character each metal brings to this iconic JLC sports watch. Amanico's initial preference for titanium, later challenged by the rose gold's 'cool factor,' sets the stage for a compelling discussion on material choice and design impact.

The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.
The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.
This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.
The rose gold is stunning nonetheless
That implies more activity, more sportiness - ok, it's not an extreme lab, but it looks the part. Cazalea
There is too much contrast in the rose gold one with shiny yellow and shiny black, looks too tough, not for me.
But for wearability, I would opt for the Ti version.
But this is a pure sports watch, and a technical one at that, so titanium for me - it looks almost identical to the Le Mans version I have ........
I do think it looks good though. The absence of red highlights gives the gold version a nice balanced look. I would be interested to see it with gold hands and numbers - perhaps that would be too much. I really like the gold version with the waffle dial. Was that the Grand Amvox 2/DBS? All the best, Jon
