It is always amazing to observe that there are watches you think you have tons of pictures of... To realize, when you are discussing about that watch that you have nothing, or almost!

The Amvox I R, in titanium, but also in platinum to tell the truth, are part of this category.

Someone asked me if I could post some pictures of the Amvox I R, I think it is Dean, and I promised I would do so as soon as I find one to take in picture.

The promise is kept, now.

A few words on the watch, before putting the photos.

The Amvox I R has some special features, compared to the Amvox I " non R ".

The special features are not in relation with the movement, as all the amvox I house the same, the Cal 918, with the non quick date setting, but the differences are all about cosmetics.

A bigger case ( 44 mm versus 42 mm ), which may come in platinum ( a Limited Edition of 150 pieces has been released, indeed ) or in titanium, but in a Limited Edition of 500 pieces.

The dials are a bit different, too.

The platinum comes with a black dial, while the titanium has a green, a British Green Racing, to be precise, dial.

Both the platinum and the titanium " R " share a yellow alarm ring, and a black alarm disc, which , therefore,  has a different finish, with a grid work.

R... For Racing. In both R versions, the bigger case, the grid work, and the yellow alarm ring add a sporty touch to the  more classic Amvox I, this last one being considered as a modern  interpretation of the... Polaris.

Undisputably, the Titanium " R " is more daring, audacious, with its green dial, and cannot, from my point of view, at least, be considered as an every day watch.

But for the one who owns a British Green Racing car... Well... As suggested by Dean... wink

Here are the promised photos:

You will also see that the crowns are not shaped the same way, compared to the Amvox I " Non R ":

One last comment about the size of the " R ", compared to the size if the I " non R ".

The Extra 2 millimeters are noticeable only  when you put them side by side.

If you put it on the wrist, you hardly notice the bigger size of the " R ".

Surprising, but this is something you can also experiment with the Amvox II and its 44 mm case, which looks smaller than it is.

Best,

Nicolas.

About the Jaeger LeCoultre Amvox2 Ref. AMVOX2

The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.

The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.

This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.

I'm considering to return to the Amvox I line and the Ti is the way to go. Thank you for those gorgeous pictures. Cheers, Nilo

Twice I changed my mind due to the size... Love the BRG dial and the PL is even cooler! But the common sense tells me that if I should go for another AMVOX I - it should be the TI LE version... Thank you for the reminder of the BRG. Best, my friend Blomman

But the Brititsh Green Racing is cool, too, even more since I have the Volvo in matching color... ;) Best, Blomman. Nicolas
