I think it is true for most collectors that they have a watch that they nearly purchased but decided against it. And then, each subsequent year came close to buying again...and again...but still never did. Well, the Amvox 1 is that watch for me. I remember very well being invited to the manufacturer as part of a group from the London AD. I had bought a few JLC over the years and was lucky to find myself, wife and 9yr old son included on the trip. During the trip, at lunch, JLC let us peak at a brand new watch to be released...it was the Amvox 1 Titanium. I loved it, but it made me feel that I should have picked up the Amvox 1 in the previous year.

I love the special touches on the watch..... i am a sucker for dials with red! Even if only a tinge of red....

But most of all, I loved its practicality. Its functions are so useful and its such a cool watch to wear.

Well, after well some 9 years of regretting not buying the watch, I finally gave in.

It was well worth the wait :-)

One of my favourite Amvox as well. This steel version is just magnificent. As we say in France, "happiness is in the stairs". Best, Nicolas

You and I share an almost exact same experience on this very watch

The only difference is that I have not yet given in. :-( But you give me hope, my friend. ;-) Congratulations! Post more photos, please, and torture me a bit more. Best regards, respo

Respo!

Let me tell you, since i had it, it has been on my wrist a disproportionate amount of time. I like it most as a travel companion. OK, I know that we have GMTs and World Time etc etc....but actually, 90% of the time I am just in Europe and I can work out that back in the UK it is just 1 hour earlier....so instead i use the alarm function and I find it SO useful. Alarm to wake me up. Alarm to signal when I need to leave for a meeting. Alarm to signal when I need to leave for the airport....ahhhh..

Well, the alarm is an incredibly friendly and useful function

Not to mention utterly charming, too. I am delighted to hear how much you are using and enjoying that watch. It looks great on your wrist. There are a only a couple of watches that I do not yet have but that I feel are destined to land on my wrist someday, and the AMVOX1 is one of them. May your AMVOX always ring loud and true. respo

Hard to say no!

Have had this for long time but I need to give it some wrist time. She is being wasted in the safe. Bill
