Baron - Mr Red shares a common collector's dilemma: the watch that got away, only to be acquired years later. His post highlights the enduring appeal of the Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX 1, a piece he initially hesitated on but ultimately welcomed into his collection. This discussion explores the practical utility and unique charm that made the AMVOX 1 a sought-after timepiece for many.

One of my favourite Amvox as well. This steel version is just magnificent. As we say in France, "happiness is in the stairs". Best, Nicolas
The only difference is that I have not yet given in. :-( But you give me hope, my friend. ;-) Congratulations! Post more photos, please, and torture me a bit more. Best regards, respo
Let me tell you, since i had it, it has been on my wrist a disproportionate amount of time. I like it most as a travel companion. OK, I know that we have GMTs and World Time etc etc....but actually, 90% of the time I am just in Europe and I can work out that back in the UK it is just 1 hour earlier....so instead i use the alarm function and I find it SO useful. Alarm to wake me up. Alarm to signal when I need to leave for a meeting. Alarm to signal when I need to leave for the airport....ahhhh..
Not to mention utterly charming, too. I am delighted to hear how much you are using and enjoying that watch. It looks great on your wrist. There are a only a couple of watches that I do not yet have but that I feel are destined to land on my wrist someday, and the AMVOX1 is one of them. May your AMVOX always ring loud and true. respo
Have had this for long time but I need to give it some wrist time. She is being wasted in the safe. Bill
