JLC organized a week of madness, from the 19th to the 22th of November, to celebrate the Jubilé to come soon, the 180th Birthday of the Manufacture, and the inauguration of the new Paris Boutique, which is the biggest in the world.

It started with a first surprise, a first mystery dinner at the.... Musée D'Orsay.

Those who already came in Paris and who wanted to visit this Museum will easily understand our luck.

Usually, this place is crowdy, and to visit it requires a lot of patience.

For one night, we had the museum for ourselves!

Here are some pictures Claudio from the Manufacture took.

We had a private visit of the different rooms of the Museum, before having a fine dinner at the last floor.

Impressive, absolutely surrealistic moment.

I didn't take my camera with me as I thought that it was not allowed to take pictures there.

How wrong was I!

As you can see, I am a bit obsessed with Spheres, lately...

Art and Watches, Watches and Art, both are intimately linked...

" The Four Parts of the World handling the Sphere "...

Sharing such a nice moment with some friends enhance the pleasure.

Here with my friend Stefan Ciejka:

The problem was to find the appropriate watch, for such an event.

Here, no surprise, the Master Minute Repeater was the watch of the situation.

Some pictures of the dinner.

Mr Jerome Lambert welcoming us:

The superb dining room:

Well, a bit earlier in the day, I paid a visit to the Paris Boutique to have my first contact with the Duometre UTT.

It was also the opportunity to see some other Duometres on the wrist of the JLC Team.

Among them, a Sphertourbillon in platinum:

And " A Chronographe " in platinum...

Enough to give you some sweet dreams for the sleepless night to come.

The day after was totally crazy.

We were invited to the Boutique, first...

A Fairy Tale decorum:

Then, to another mysterious place, as the secret was well kept: The Grand Hotel, just near the Opera Garnier.

Inside the hotel, you have a huge magnificient " salle de reception ", which was a very good choice, as the Manufacture invited an impressive number of guests ( how many, I don't know, but I would say around 500 ), coming from all over the world.

This was a magic, surrealistic moment... But this time, I had my camera with me.

Who could imagine that a horse would dance into this Salle???

A very artistic and human Spherotourbillon:

The grandiose Salle:

The Planisphere is an important element of design, for JLC. Even their bars have one!

This time, I took two watches with me, the Geophysic, as I needed watch which could match with this obsession....

And the Euopean Deep Sea Alarm, because when you need such a watch to wake you up the day after...With a good café. wink

The most popular watch was the Reverso, and especially the TTR 1931, in black, most often, but also in red.

I even saw another Titanium Master Minute Repeater!

Paris wouldn't be Paris without some beautiful ladies...

Some guests were really impressed by the event, obviously:

And to end, an event wouldn't be perfect if not shared with good friends.

The usual suspects. ( From right to left: Stefan Ciejka, Asi, Asi's Wife, and POY.FR ) :

Without forgetting the traditional " The god, The Bad and the Ugly " shot ( Don't ask who is the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, this is still to be discussed between us ) :

I would like to thank Jaeger-Lecoultre for their friendship, their warm welcome and the impeccable organisation of this absolutely crazy event.

This was one of the greatest party I ever attended!

Best,

Nicolas

Hi, I would have been better with you and our friends there, I would have also avoided stupid club med holidays and a little vertebra fracture! But anyway I missed only half of it as I was not invited for the Musee dinner anyway. I'll see all of you soon in Geneva. Best Dje
