It has been several years now, but still, in the competition for mechanical peotry, no-one has gotten even close to the finesse or the dance of the 3-axis tourbillon in the Jacob Astronomia.  And through the ears Jacob has improved the case to the point where it visially almost doesn't exist.  This latest model, the Astronomia Clarity, giving perfect unhindered visibility from all sides.  Strangely enough this big thick watch has become a big hit as a ladies watch.  They are wearing the Astronomia like a big clunky bangle.

We see here a prototype of the next Astronomia, the Astronomia Sky, which with a sky map finally puts some astronomical content in the Astronomia.  The case and classes here are still very prototype.

In the multiple tourbillon catagory we have here a doubke tourbillon repetition minute.  With its titanium case the sound is very good, unfortunately I find the watch looks best from the back.

The very neat Jacob World Timer with its flip panel at the top is now available in several colors.

A Tourbiilon World Timer

Finally we come to some gem set watches, as we expect from a jeweler. Jacob takes great pride in their gem matching, all the stones are natural and finding and choosing stones with the right matching colors is a non-trivial undertaking.

Of course these watches take on a completely differrent look when properly displayed.

The designs aside, some of them look technically impressive. [nt]

Sweet Watches

Even though their watches are not in house, you can instantly recognize a Jocab watch which way I love them. They are of utter flamboyance. Really awe inspiring watches. Thanks for sharing

Lovely. Another brand breaking conventional molds

And exerting pressure on the traditional manufactures esp those who only rely on their legacies year after year.

Interesting watches but I wonder how truly wearable any of them are. When I saw the original astronomia watch it was fascinating but it was a tuna can on the wrist. It would be fun to read an interview with the developers of this watch as they are crazy

smart and truly think out of the box figuratively and literally. Cheers Mitch

Very impressive, especially the Clarity model.

It's like looking at a stand alone solar system with its own orbiting bodies.
