The
18,000 bph Caliber 5000, w/IWC’s Pellaton winding system; it was the company's first movement with a 7-day power reserve.
The low-beat mechanism sounds mellow and calming when held near the ear.
I enjoy the large balance wheel and the strong, columnar appearance of the rotor’s arms.
Best matcha shaved ice in town, @Toraya Akasaka.
Delicious and rejuvenating, as temperatures in Tokyo were reaching above 90F just last week.

The medallion does feature quite prominently on this model.
I had the steel version of yours, and loved it.
My first choice at the time was, in fact, one of the silver-hued metals... I eventually settled for rg after my search for a steel or Pt piece ended in vain. Did you let yours go because of accuracy issues? I remember being bothered by the +20 sec deviation on mine. It's kind of settled down nicely, though, after more than a couple of decades of desiccating the lubricants : )
