I used to love this brand. In fact had several watches. I feel like for a while lately they lost their way. Hopefully they’ll return to their military watches roots.

But fortunately for us, the great watches they made in their heyday are still easy to find and (mostly) not too expensive to acquire.

This dial layout, and the absence of the date, were available in the Spitfire "Battle of Britain" limited edition. Which is quite ironical, really, since IWC was one of the suppliers of Messerschmitt pilots who fought against the RAF in the said battle. Likewise their "Petit Prince" editions always crack me up, since Saint Exupery's plane was shot down by the Luftwaffe. Talking about appropriation...
