Nicolas, known as amanico on WatchProSite, revisits the IWC Da Vinci 3754 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar, a reference he describes as 'deliciously outdated' yet charming. His personal reflection and stunning photography of the rose gold and platinum versions offer a fresh perspective on a significant IWC complication. And so deliciously charming.

Here are the rose gold,

And the two platinum versions.

I went for the platinum silver, some 20 years ago, and sadly lost it. But if I had to do it again, I would go for the blue, which adds an extra touch of fun and freshness which is very welcome.

Best,

Nicolas

Delicious watches, mon ami. I would also

go for the blue dial version, the white in Pt being the 2nd choice.

Funny, because when the two were available, I preferred the silver. Now, with time passing, the blue. ;)

If only it would have normal lugs

I would buy one in a heartbeat , love the case an dial But the way the strap is attached to the case ... well to me it's just extremely ugly

Tubular lugs are clearly not everybody's taste.

Another famous example.

Love the RG version. Had a wonderful time meeting Kurt Klaus back in 2000.

Here's some photos of the complication presentation and of Kurt Klaus.
