Kong vividly recounts PuristSPro's celebration of IWC's 140th anniversary in Singapore, transporting readers back to 1868 and the founding vision of Florentine Ariosto Jones. This multi-part series captures the immersive experience, from the unique 'boarding pass' invitation to the meticulously recreated 19th-century transatlantic voyage theme. It highlights IWC's rich heritage and the community's engagement with the brand's history.

Singapore - Last Friday, IWC celebrated its 140 year anniversary with a delighted group of PuristS in Singapore.

The evening was to honour the IWC founding father, Florentine Ariosto Jones who was born in the town of Rumney, New Hampshire and went on to found IWC  in 1868.
It was from Boston Harbour that F.A. Jones embarked for Europe and eventually to Schaffhausen.

That evening, we were taken back to the 19th century and 'on-board' a voyage - the transatlantic crossing from Boston, USA to Europe and Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

For passengers with the following IWC - PuristSPro boarding pass, the adventure began ...

On the way to the harbour... (Part 2 of 6)

The check-in time was 7pm. Decided to set of from home earlier. Arrived at the foothill of the 'habour' at 6pm. Oh...still have some distance to cover...the IWC signages leading the way. Slow stroll uphill...take a closer look at the signage. Oh man... imagine in your suit walking this never-ending staircases at 30Deg C and 85% RH. Alas...arrived at the top... am I near yet? Don't think so... Continue to enjoy the stroll... the house (at the background) is a public lavatory. On my left, an inter

Great report Kong and nice shades!

and many thanks to the iwc team and puristpro for a wonderful evening. As some of the others have said, the iwc events are always something else (still lament missing out on the amg one). they put in a lot of effort and the attention to detail was as fastidious as the details of the schaffhausen timepieces (shameless plug). I know 1868 has been drilled into my brain alongside florentine ariosto jones.
