Jay (Eire) initiates a compelling discussion on the independent watchmaking landscape, juxtaposing the avant-garde design of Urwerk with the classical elegance of Breguet. His post underscores the rich diversity within horology, inviting collectors to appreciate the spectrum of styles available. This exploration highlights how personal taste can bridge seemingly disparate aesthetic philosophies in a collection.

Where we would be without them?

Urwerk(ing) yesterday on the way to meet some friends one of which had this classic Breguet which Iโ€™ve also been more and more interested in the last few years.

The contrast between the two.  It highlights one of the joys of watch collecting.  Thereโ€™s something for everyone, and even both of you (if your personality is such). ๐Ÿ˜‚

Breguet and Urwerk - what a nice pair they are! Especially this Urwerk - my favorite Urwerk!
