mkt33's "Live from Vegas" report offers a vibrant look into the pre-registration mixer for IGOTT 2, a significant international gathering for luxury watch enthusiasts. His photo essay captures the excitement and camaraderie of the event, providing a valuable historical snapshot for the WatchProSite community. This post highlights the enduring appeal of in-person meetups for collectors, even years after the event.
My day started at 0330

I drove two hours to get to the airport

6.5 hours later I stepped off the plane and thought I arrived at Geneva instead of Las Vegas.

Nope I'm in the right place

The Wynn Encore has much better accomodations than any previous watch fairs I attended in Switzerland.

Actually I could have easily fit two Swiss hotel rooms into this junior suite!

Hmm, what to wear? Standard mod uniform?

The check in table for IGOTT2

A few early arrivals

A few honored guests, any one care to guess?

Lots of tasty morsels

Signs to remind us why we've gathered together

But really it is all about the friendships

The goodies are a bonus

I saw some mods taking pictures of the watches in attendance...Can I just say wow?!
Although I know many PuristS could not attend, I know you are all here in spirit.
More tomorrow when IGOTT officially begins.
Cheers, Mike

One exhortation, through you, to all who post pics: if you are showing faces, could we (wherever possible) know the names to go with those faces? It is so much more...... intimate..... to be able to put faces to names or tags, in many cases after a number of years of invisible cyber-friendship. That would be a real bonus. Thanks again - enjoy, and keep it coming!. Cheers, pplater.
touchy subject for some PuristS I will ask tomorrow if members mind me mentioning them by their PPro handles. Best, Mike
Amazing how much typing time you spare for me :0))) Cordially Damian
you be in bad now??? :0)) So easier to see that I wasn't only one left home alone... This live reports are "unhuman" ... really nerve wracking stuff Cheers mate Damjan
...with all the fun going on here - for everyone in Vegas, anyway! At least "what's going on in Vegas " isn't "staying in Vegas"! All the best, D. Cheers, pplater.
Thanks Mike. Looking forward to the full daily report! Ken
