41northpole provides an in-depth look at the Hublot manufacture, detailing the intricate processes involved in creating their timepieces. This photo-rich report, originally part of a visit that also included Zenith, offers a rare glimpse into the advanced machinery and meticulous craftsmanship behind Hublot's innovative watches. Readers gain insight into everything from raw material processing to the assembly of complex movements like the Unico and La Ferrari.

Hi All

Been trying for a while to load pictures for this post, so hope it goes well this time.  Originally this was a visit to Zenith, and Hublot was added later to make it a truly interesting few days

We start,  here....

We need  lots of these to make the parts from scratch, plus the CNC machine shown further down,

or indeed one of these (Zenith have one also)  New type of machine that uses different cutting material for the tools and no lubrication.  Machine can work on both sides of the material placed in the cassette by turning it over between the 4 cells.

Feeder Cassette

And some of the work

Wire spark erosion parts

Finishing

Next, to assembly, pictures of what should happen!

And the parts to do it with

Unico movements

Casing up

And on to the complications department; Skeleton

La Ferrari

And a nice poster before we look at the collection; do they do a movement like this smile

I have to say, my favourite, don't ask me why but a keen interest in Cosmology as well as watches helps, plus it actually wears really well

So, there you go.  A really great 4 hours at Hublot.  Carole and I would like to thank Melvyn, Andrew and Magnus for co-ordinating the trip, plus everyone at the factories who made us so welcome.  I would especially like to thank all the PuristS we met and had a great time with over the 3 days.  More reports to follow when I next get a moment

All the very best

Tim
