The expansion of Hublot boutiques in the world's most prestigious locations is continuing.

After openings in Aruba (Caribbean) and Seoul in the past two months, and with Almaty (Kazakhstan), Cairo (Egypt) and Manilla (Philippines) to come in the next few weeks, Hublot is today inaugurating - in the presence of Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman - a new boutique in Budapest, opened in partnership with John Grove & Partners, represented by Messrs Jan Zvada and Vladan Hajek, long-standing friends of the brand.

Hublot is stepping up its presence in Budapest with the opening of a new boutique in the Hungarian capital.

Located on the prestigious Andrássy avenue in the 6th district of the Hungarian capital (Hublot already has a presence in the city's Four Seasons Hotel), it enjoys a generous total surface area of 120 square metres, comprising a ground floor fitted out with a sales area plus a friendly bar, as well as a mezzanine first floor accommodating a VIP lounge and another more exclusive bar.

The fittings of the premises were designed according to the Hublot "Art of Fusion Black" concept. A feature to note is the uncommon and extremely elegant ebony-coloured leather floor tiles, created by a craftsman based in Normandy. The entrance is animated by a giant-screen video wall, remote controlled from Switzerland, which immediately immerses the visitor in the world of the brand, with films about the events and ambassadors.

"Here we are finally in Budapest, a registered "UNESCO World Heritage" city just like our "Lavaux" region in Switzerland. So what could be more logical for Hublot than to follow in the footsteps of the Romans? (After establishing Aquincum in 89 AD, on the site of Óbuda today, the Romans then founded Contra Aquincum (modern-day Pest) on the other side of the river). Now Hublot can set up in Budapest too, through its boutique.

We will thus be able to show to visitors of the Hungary's richest and most cosmopolitan city the know-how of Swiss watchmaking art, expressed through our watch collections. I wish our teams a great success and good luck, and would be delighted to come and visit them often," said Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot.
