KIH's report from Hublot's Novelty Show in Japan offers a hands-on look at several new models, including the Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono and different iterations of the Big Bang Unico Magic Gold. The author provides detailed images and initial impressions, inviting the community to compare and discuss these latest releases.

Hublot's Novelty Show came to Japan - most of them I have reported from Basel, but there are some I did not have time to handle and I also took some interesting video as well.  Please enjoy!

1. Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono Titanium Ceramic
413.NM.1127.RX

Remember the one made for the World Cup in Brazil?  These will be the regular models.

Interesting concept watch for the soccer viewing smile

1. Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono King Gold Ceramic
413.OM.1128.RX

2. Now, Big Bang Unico Magic Gold vs Big Bang Unico FULL Magic Gold

Big Bang Unico Magic Gold - as previously reported from the Ginza Boutique

And THIS is the Big Bang Unico FULL Magic Gold, which was not available back then.

The photos do not do the special metal justice.

Actually, not heavy at all.  I felt Full Magic Gold was about the same weight as the Magic Gold.

Full Magic Gold on the wrist.

Magic Gold on the wrist.  Which do you like better?

3. Classic Fusion Tourbillon Skeleton 45mm
506.CM.0140.LR

Really, really black - legibility=tough!

Let's see how the chrono works - see how the monopusher works.
(Maybe a bit too hard to see - bad cameraman.... sorry)

4. Classic Fusion Aerofusion Moonphase King Gold
517.OX.0180.LR

"Realistic" moon, and date dial.

Day and Month disc and windows.

5. Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar Ceramic Titanium
406.NM.0170.RX

Looks really cool.

Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar King Gold Ceramic
406.oOM.0180.RX

Date dial + (Half) Hour Counter for Chrono

Moonphase on the right.

On the left is the day dial and 30 minutes counter

Quite well thought dial layout, I say.

Really not bad at all.

6. Big Bang Alarm Repeater King Gold Ceramic

Lower right is the time (24 hours dial) you want to set the alarm.  By pulling the crown once, you can adjust.

Upper left is the 24-Hour GMT dial.  By pushing the upper right pusher.

Now let's see how it works - hope you see how the mechanism works (pushers, crown, etc.) and hear the sound of the alarm.

First, let's see the twin barrel - one for the watch, one for the alarm.

And, how the dial side and pushers, crown works.  Lower pusher is On/Off switch of the alarm.

7. Lastly, but not the least, Big Bang Tourbillon 5 days Power Reserve.

Power Reserve Indicator.

Well designed back side.

Nice, isn't it?

Okay, that's it, folks.
I hope you enjoyed and find what you like!

Thank you, Hublot Japan.
And a great news is that Hublot is opening the 2nd boutique in Japan in Osaka.  Opening May 13th.  Hope to report soon after the opening, or someone close to Osaka, please?

Best,
Ken

All of them beautiful watches! However I prefer the CF with less blingbling Factor. Though I would not be able to wear most of them - CF as well as BB - because they wear simply too big on my wrist. I do hope that Hublot continues (or even expands) their 42mm range in the future... ;-)

I am intrigued by the new perpetual calendar, although legibility is not great for such a watch. I really think from the photos that the ceramic / magic gold watch is nicer looking than the full magic gold. And luckily, it is a regular edition :-) Appreciate all the work here!

I am tempted by this model.

I love simple ones, too. And my wrist is small, too. But 45mm doesn't wear too big, mysteriously :-) Thank you, and let us search the best fitting CF! More to come, I am sure. Ken
