Interesting side-by-side comparison between similar-looking models.  This time, between Big Bang All Carbon vs Big Bang Aero Bang Carbon, and some extra.  See which fits your taste!

On the left is Big Bang Aero Bang Carbon (311.QX.1124.RX), and on the right is Bing Bang All Carbon (301.QX.1724.RX).  From the outset, they both look cool.  But my preference goes to Aero Bang version.  Despite the same size and spec, Aero Bang looks "smarter", thanks to the "open" dial.

I would be happy with either one smile

But this looks more "cool".

Now what bothers me about Aero Bang is the date window - the date is black ink on the transparent disc while the date window is just the "white area" at 3:30h.  Not very legible.

Big Bang version date window is more easy to read.

The back side looks the same.

Now the special guests arrive - The same models in the Vendome Collection with Red Glass, red index, red lumi.

Look at, again, the date window for the Aero Bang version.  Hmnnn.

Again, easier to read.

Overall look is still better with Aero Bang version......

Vendome collection has tower on the right column of "H" printed on the glass.

Same "H" logo, but printed on the dial for Big Bang version.

Hmnn.  Both are handsome faces....

Same here.

Conclusion:
- The Aero Bang dial is, to my eyes, cooler then the flat Big Bang dial.
- But date is hard to read on Aero Bang dial.

* Still Aero Bang excels in its attraction to my eyes, while Big Bang is great spartan looking, but too flat looking at the same time, especially the carbon pattern may be a bit "too much".

Which would you like to go with? smile

Have a great Happy Valentine Day!

Best,
Ken

In full agreement

The Aero Bang looks more interesting, and the dial has more character and actually doesn't look as big and spartan as the other. The dates are quite pointless from the pictures though as you've pointed out. Even on the All Carbon, from the pictures, it looks like the date window frame actually casts a shadow on the date disc so I'm guessing that at some angles, that's also going to affect the legibility of it.

Thanks Richard!

.. you are right. When it comes to this level, date legibility plays little role. It is interesting, though, to compare models side by side :-) Ken
