Wanted to share a new acquisition and begins my foray into the world of Grand Seiko. I have been tempted many times before this, and have tried on various models, both where I live and in Japan, but never really took the plunge. Late last year, a fellow collector buddy of  mine offered this to me at a very pleasing value and I jumped on it. It's gone to the spa for a full service and only just came back this morning and it is finally on my wrist after a 7 week wait. Well worth it, if you ask me.

I love the GS logo on the dial backdrop and the almost clear layer between that and the applied markers and the brand, giving the dial a very nice 3D view. The case is superb as well, and the size is just perfect in my view and is very comfortable. I have on order a leather strap, but that's for a different time and post. Here are some pictures to share that initial joy.

A little poison is good ;-)

Just like the drugs that cure us. But you're right that these forums can be very bad when we're on a "watch diet". :-) I'm sure we will see yours very soon Robin. There is always one for every one and the temptations will come much harder once you're snagged with the thought. Richard

This is one is very hard to find now.

Congratulations to you! I am very likely to get a Grand Seiko one day; just wait for the "irresistible" one to come up.

The one will come for you :-)

Sooner than later, especially after you've handled and put on one in the metal. Thanks for the note, and yes, I can't even find much information of this on the web, though there are some lighter posts here and there. Richard
