I got this nearly a year ago, but each time I wear it I am still amazed by the brilliant finish of the dial and hands, the way they catch the light is stunning. I also love the domed sapphire crystal. Despite owning more expensive, more legendary, more significant, more Swiss watches, this Grand Seiko undoubtedly ranks all the way up there as one of the best I have.

Great watch...

I understand you SJX! I'm more and more attracted by this range, more particularly by the GMT. Rolex has only definitely to be held! Best Caius

I wish you wouldn't...

I wish you wouldn't post photos of that watch. I am now trying to get the idea of purchasing one out of my mind. Could you answer one question re: the GMT function. Does it advance the 12 hour hand "Rolex style" or the 24 hand ummmm ETA module style?

Advances the 12 hour hand

Which is synchronised with the date function. - SJX

This is a bad pic, but...

I put a lighter brown strap on mine which goes well with the yellowish-white dial. It looks great in real life, although so does a very dark blue navy strap I have. The strap here looks a little maroon which isn't the reality. Will try for a better shot soon. pg This message has been edited by jasny on 2008-11-07 19:19:38 This message has been edited by jasny on 2008-11-07 19:21:37

I didn't know you have one too

Congrats! I'd be curious to see how it looks on a blue strap, do share pictures if you have them. - SJX

Yes, It is pretty much my daily wearer. The Gym sees a Seiko 5, then

I wear the GS 65% of the time and the Roger Smith 35% of the time. I will get some pics of the dark navy band. I wish the brown was truer to color in the pic. It sort of has a common tone with the yellow in the dial. I am going to try some daytime pictures with both bands. Jay
