AnthonyTsai provides an exciting update on the GoS Winter Nights for PuristS project, detailing the latest developments in case design, movement assembly, and dial production. This post offers a rare glimpse into the collaborative process of creating a limited-edition timepiece, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship involved in each stage.
The first update I want to share with you all is GoS has agreed to offer the case in a thinner 11mm case. The default case thickness is 12.5mm, so those who wish to have a thinner case can now custom order a 11mm case.
To accomodate the reduced thickness, GoS will use a thinner sapphire crystal and bezel. As a consequence, water resistance protection will be reduced to 5atm from 10atm. In any case, a thinner version is another available option.
In our last Gos Winter Nights for PuristS update #2 post in late February, the damascus stainless steel baseplates were ready but not yet assembled with the movement. Also, the dials weren't ready as well.
Work has progressed further and we now have more pictures to share with you all.
Below are pictures of the baseplates with the assembled Martin Braun movement. Note that the GoS triple-blade sign engraving (same sign as seconds hand at 6 o'clock) on the rachet wheel hasn't been completed yet and the blade power reserve hand not installed yet. However, these pictures will give you a great idea of how the movement willl look like through the display sapphire caseback.

The GoS Winter Nights for PuristS is going to be a sexy looking watch IMO!
Here's a rendition of how the movement will look like with the sraight blade power reserve indicator hand and GoS triple-edge sign engraving on the rachet wheel. Compare the below picture with the picture above for easy comparison.

Now here's a close-up picture of the straight blade power reserve indicator hand. It's hand polished and hand made out solid gold just like the hour, minute, and seconds hands. GoS calls it a micro sculpture of a traditional straight blade, and the total length is 6.5mm.
Now I'd like to share with you the first batch of Winter Nights for PuristS dials. As you can see from the below pictures, each dial is unique and has its own characteristics. No two are the same just like human fingerprints or zebra stripes!
The top are the uncolored dials and the bottom are colored.

GoS has made new photomontages of the Winter Nights with different hand color combinations using these new dials.

In my next update, GoS should have the movement ready including with the straight blade power reserve indicator hand along with the GoS triple-blade sign engraving on the ratchet wheel. Stay tuned for more!
Cheers,
Anthony

And these movements!!! Hope to be able to see one in the flesh, one day. Best, Nicolas.
comes to mind. I really love it, however I definitely prefer the non coloured one! Definitely! Thank you for these very nice pics and the update. Cheers, Francois
I am digging the uncolored dials, red gold accents.
