An Atmos could have been a problem because our cat ( 10K British shorthair ) is not very elegant and there is a big change he would kick it of the closet smile
So maybe a Marine Chronometer clock on a table would be safer

So this is what I got

A Girard Perregaux John Harrison ( Nr7). I believe they made these from 1993 until ???
1993 because exactly 300 years earlier  Mr John Harrison was born. John Harrison was the inventor of the chronometer

So here it is

with a Patek 5131 just to show the size

The power reserve is a bit more than 2 days, then you have to wind it with the key
The movement is something they got from Poljot and as you can see this will survive the next millennium, this is built like a tank
Ever seen a bigger balance wheel ?

and what about the spring ?
I think you can use it as a car shock absorber  LOL

To make it more interesting  .... a fusee chain mechanism

It 'ticks' VERY' loud but only 7200 beats per hour so somehow it sounds relaxing smile

I will

post more pics and info on the GP forum. I contacted GP to (hopefully) get more info If I know more I will share it on the GP forum The thing is .... after googling several hours I found almost no extra info The ONLY other GP John Harrison I found was a link to an Antiquorum auction 3 years ago ( the lot sold for 4K in May 2013) But that was the only I found Mine is NR 7 and the one on Antiquorum was Nr 5 So I think not that many were made

Very nice! btw ...

... the Poljot marine chronometer movement was a copy of a Ulysse Nardin movement, possibly the best renown Swiss marine chronometer movement. Marcus
