KMII proudly announces his entry into the Girard-Perregaux collecting community with a Gyromatic Chronometer HF, a significant acquisition for his collection of fast-beat watches. After a long search, he shares his initial excitement and invites fellow GP enthusiasts to offer insights, particularly regarding the correct buckle for his new timepiece.

As evident from many of my threads (here: www.watchprosite.com or here: www.watchprosite.com for recent examples) I have a weakness for Fast Beat watches. At the same time I have been looking to enter the world of Girard Perregaux for somewhere around three years now. And while there have been other candidates - and some will definitely still join this one in due course - there was always something that came between, either the timing was wrong, I was too slow...

Finally though - completely by accident - I saw this one on Wednesday and ensured I wasn’t going to be late this time. And the delivery was surprisingly fast beat, too - the watch already having arrived today! I will need some time for more qualified impressions but am very happy to start off with.

And I will need advice from our GP experts on what the correct buckle is for this one!

I do not have the tools to open the case back but could ask the seller for the movement pictures (as the watch was sold they were taken offline). Anything looking suspicious?
