Friends,
It is not a big secret that I admire CC lightning fast journey through the Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic history!
And one that I have been hunting for a long time is the Girard-Perregaux “FireStone” Gyromatic.
One interesting detail about this mid 1960s Gyromatic and which also doubles my hope to one day find one, is that it was not a limited edition only dedicated to FireStone.
The same case and dial also existed in a “normal” Girard-Perregaux version.
Here shown in an ad from 1964: Reference 7850.
The vintage GP universe is endless… You better have good tires otherwise you risk lose your way!
