Friends,

Those of you that have read me over at other parts of the forum know my fascination about buckles!

A detail about our beloved watches that often is "forgotten" or not mentioned...

I like to share some of the different GP buckles types I have.

Still working on finding the correct date for the different versions, when they were in use...

From left to right:

GP with line. This one I also saw in aluminium!
Applied GP logo. This version I have seen in documents from the early 1960's up until mid/late 1970's.
Full text GP. Mid/late 1980's to mid 1990's(?).
Overlapping GP logo. Mid 1990's to early 2000(?).
GP current logo.

Do you have any other types of GP buckles to share?

Best
Blomman

I would love to find the second one from the left for my Gyromatic!

Funny how it is similar to JC buckles from the same era! Best, Nicolas

Ah, that one is the one hardest to find in good size!

I don't know why, but to find 16 or 18 mm is hard! Several other brands used to have similar applied logo during this time period. Zenith, Omega, Rolex, Certina, Tissot, ...... And some still do! :) Best Blomman

Love vintage buckles

here is my collection of vintage buckles, I did not include modern buckles. From left to right: Style 1: probably 50ties to mid 60ties, 14mm gold-plated Style 2: mid 60ties to mid 70ties (my fav), 14mm steel, 14mm plaque (not sure what if white gold or rhodium), 16mm steel; I have one more 14mm gold-plated on the way Style 3: mid 80ties to mid 90ties: 2x 16mm gold-plated and 16mm solid yellow gold. The one at the bottom of this shot....

I have seen several, but still not 100% sure if they are correct... Do you have any documentation that shows this version? Best Blomman
