That is a very nice looking GP watch you have! That's the 49480, right? Please feel free to post more about it. Best Blomman
The Anni Fiat, Ref 4948 is a great looking Chrono, pure without date. CC PS: I took the liberty to crop the black borders of your picture
I am relatively new to luxury watches. Is having no date considered to be more pure or traditional? I usually like having the date on my watches, but clearly it is not a deal breaker for me.
more seriously, a date window often disturbs the symmetry of a dial, especially on a Chronograph. It's a matter of taste and Marketing tells us that the big majority wants to have a date, so all is fine
Thanks for cleaning it up! And for those who are curious, it is a 38mm, and it wears that size. For me, it is about as small as I like to go. But really a great watch.
Why? It is part of the idea behind the watch. Best, Nicolas
