(I took the liberty of moving your post from the Independants forum to the F.P. Journe Forum as this is where we usually have our Friday roll call 😊👍) Very cool post. I really look forward to seeing the yellow as well as well as the orange mounted. Coincidentally these are the two I been considering - so I would love to see pictures, please. You also made me pull mine out of the safe. It’s a perfect companion for the summer and obviously I need a summer strap like yours. Wishing you and all out
Thanks for helping to edit, I got a little lost along the way, even forgetting how to attach pictures! I currently have it mounted on yellow, after midnight blue and khaki green, but the orange has not been broken in yet Some quick pics that I can share of the yellow. I'm usually clothed in black, blue or some shades of grey... so the yellow really contrasts against my "usual" attire. I love it (and I suspect I will like it more than the orange)!
Thank you so much 😊 also interesting to hear that you think it’s a better fit than the orange. Please post that too when you feel it’s time to try it out.
Just curious, you managed to change the strap readily? .. I was struggling. I tried changing the strap myself.. it was a nightmare.. it just wouldn’t attach.. I end up going back to the boutique to get them professionally done.
Yes! I struggled for my first time as well, and considering there is no boutique in a 500km radius, I was in some trouble. I came across Laurent ( @petitsamourai on Instagram) who gave me very clear, step-by-step instructions over Whatsapp. Through popular demand, he's also highlighted this as a series of Instagram stories, linked here . Hopefully this will be helpful for you as it was for me!
I'm not able to see that story for some reason, but I didn't find it especially difficult to change the strap - a word of warning though, the "quick release" spring bars are surprisingly poor quality, the small tab on one of mine broke off very easily. FPJ did send me some spares fairly quickly thankfully.
