Darron's insightful post delves into the nuanced mechanics of F.P. Journe's Quantième Perpétuel, highlighting often-overlooked details beyond its well-known instantaneous aperture changes and crown-only setting. His observations on the 'dragged' date change mechanism provide valuable context for collectors appreciating the intricate engineering behind this distinguished reference. This piece offers a deeper understanding of what makes Journe's perpetual calendar truly unique in the horological landscape.

I wish you a happy new year! Best, Emmanuel
I’m staying way too far away to be a customer, guess it’s not meant to be. No experience whatsoever with this brand but I like the instantaneous jump features. I think all watches should have this capability. Lange 1 PC is another great example.
are what excited me about the reference. The Lange 1 PC and terraluna have this instantaneous date change feature as well but those two models have a seconds hand and my guess, i have only seen a couple a videos of these that those are intended to flip much closer to midnight (within the first 60 seconds); Curious of the Cubitis grand date instantaneous date change design; though not a QP.
Was also a jump indicator.
I love it in rose. Adds a little touch to the dial as well. Beautiful 😍
I originally was leaning toward Pt but found the RG case had more warmth. Happy New Year!!
